The other issue about this problem is quite old, so I'm opening a new one.
When converting .docx files to PDF with OfficeToPdf, sometimes I get the error:
"Call was rejected by callee. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010001 (RPC_E_CALL_REJECTED))"
After getting the exception, the attached .jpg is what I see. The conversion won't work again until Word is closed.
Some details:
  • Word is 2016 version, fresh install
  • OS is Windows Server 2012
  • the file I get the first exception on is random
  • the string is use to call OfficeToPdf is: "OfficeToPdf.exe fileName.docx fileName.pdf /hidden"
  • the documents contain images
  • the documents don't contain embedded objects
  • Word can open the files

Do you see the same problem if you run without the /hidden option?

Is the machine on which you're seeing the problem heavily loaded or does it have multiple users accessing it?

When you say the document contains images, how many and what sort of file size are the images and the total docx document size?

Hello Vittal,
adding the /readonly param fixed the issue.

Hi Nicola

Sounds like a timing issue when attempting to update the file.

Are the documents you're using on a network drive, or on a disk local to the machine running OfficeToPDF?
